Self love requires self awareness, and is also a way to foster self awareness. Self love is also a means to understanding others and their situations. It means to be vulnerable because it requires us to take a moment, not merely react. We do this to better our relationships or communications with ourselves and anyone outside us. To merely react is self focus, is giving in to a certain lack of discipline, lack of consideration, and is a form of weakness and intolerance. Self love isn’t really about you in the end, though it’s a way for one to move in the world.

True Self Love becomes less about us and more about others as we learn to breathe within it.

Everything comes, then goes. All our lives, passions, wants - the people we call friends, family, even our greatest loves - all transitory. Our inner voices, decisions, what seems right, just, or mandatory, all change, evolve, or disintegrate into nothing. Some we recall, cling to, or some we forget easily.

Perhaps it is to move within these human evolutions, which happen on an individualistic and communal level, with grace. Maybe the point is to find the patience, openness, understanding, then compassion for all those transitory things which we deem uncomfortable.

The purpose in this would be to self evolve, for ourselves, and for our communities, the evolution being inner peace, wisdom, and genuine gentleness and kindness, which is hard won.

The artist is always confronted.

Anxious, depressed, or manic are ways some artists move throughout the world, the work is grounding. For the more or less creative unaffected by the aforementioned, the work itself is often cathartic.

Throughout the life of an artist it’s possible some choice, loss, or event could happen, which confront and put to test creative desires and metal. One either continues to use their work as the path through which revelations and answers are sought and revealed, or allows the mood to overcome and throw their point and its goal off track, therefore stepping back from the creative process.

It is only by forcing the routine carefully and delicately, with a lot in time doing so, that the artist comes through the fire and grows as a creative individual, which encompasses various forms of expression - and the most important form of growth, the developing of one’s humanity and character.
