Solitude as a way to recharge one’s resources and energies is also an escape. One hardly acknowledges solitude as an escape - as if escaping from the job, debt, monetary responsibility, media, family and friends, or any poor feelings and responsibilities, which take away from us and our most innate desires and goals is wrong. It is not wrong to want to escape into a more ideal world. It is an act of survival. Perhaps we might instead ask, why people force each other into indentured servitude? Why do we expect life should be a series of repetitious steps that only serve to wear us down and take away from us as individuals - one might even consider how a great many people do not ever realize their more innate talents and wants as a result of being guided in the direction of modern and wage slavery, or forced into social situations where one might otherwise take the necessary alone time to reflect and pause upon themselves and their needs.

Perhaps not realizing, society and the world are robbed of something greater, its joy and humanity’s true progress.
